Don't Retire, Inspire with Ezra Home Care

October 29th and 30th don’t miss an inspirational TV Show “Don’t Retire, Inspire” on BNN. The Show will air on Friday October 29th at 2.30pm and on Saturday October 30th at 11.30am on Cannel 19 BNN. Don’t Retire, Inspire, is hosted by Augusta Alban and it features conversations with community members who are over 60 and still very active in the community. The production is a collaborative partnership among Suffolk University students, the Suffolk Television Studio, and the West End Community Center.

AT Ezra Home Care we had a pleasure of having one of our employees and her mother to be featured on the show. Shirley Lewis and Angela Warner are a duet singers, as well as mother and daughter. Angela Warner is our employee who has a passion for helping seniors and singing.

Angela Warner

Angela’s road to success started in July, 2010 when she got a phone call about South Shore Idol competition in Randolph MA.  Angela took first place in the state competition in Randolph MA on July 9th 2010 and then she took 3rd place in the Regional Competition on July 25th 2010. That guaranteed her a spot in the nationals in Houston Texas on August 26th-29th 2010. Even though she didn’t win the nationals, she is was brave enough to follow her dreams and strive to succeed.

Angela started singing at the age of 8 at the church choir. Being a daughter of a blues legend Shirley Lewis, she was always fascinated by the power of voice and the entertainment industry. For Angela’s mother Shirley, singing is like poetry and dance all in one and making people have fun while she is on stage.

Shirley Lewis

Shirley Lewis chose to be a professional singer after graduating from business school. She took a chance at singing with a group which opened for BB King in the early 60's. Shirley is over 70 years-old, but till this day she stays active and has her own band that performs on the regular basis. For Angela, her mother is her biggest idol and she is striving to be as great of a singer as Shirley.

Don’t miss this exiting TV Episode featuring Angela Warner and Shirley Lewis on October 29th at 2.30pm or on October 30th at 11.30am on Channel 19 BNN.
