91-year Old Senior Abused by a Home Health Care Caregiver !

A New Jersey woman placed a camera in the bedroom of her 91-year-old mother so family and friends could see her, but the footage that was caught on camera is extremely disturbing. The video features an eldercare caregiver physically abusing her patient.

I have seen it this morning and I was mortified by what I’ve witnessed. I have to warn you that the video is disturbing and might be difficult to watch for some people.

According to CNN:

The footage shows a home health aide beating the 91-year-old woman, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

The health aide, 52-year-old Carmen Pereira, was charged with aggravated assault and other charges related to what was captured on the video footage, said Mike Post, a detective from the Jersey City Police Department.

In the footage, the aide is seen tending to the elderly woman, forcefully brushing her teeth or putting her in bed by picking her up and slamming her down.

The video also shows the aide repeatedly slapping the woman and yanking her hair.”
