Jewish-Owned Home Care, Rooted in Heritage

"Humans first. Every time. Any time."

What We Do

Care Rooted in Jewish Tradition

Ezra Home Care is Jewish-owned, and our leadership understands Jewish families and Jewish homes from the inside. As a private-pay company, we have the flexibility every family deserves: caregivers trained to honor kosher kitchens, Shabbat, and Jewish holidays, hand-picked and trained for your family's specific traditions and routines — not a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Miron Schechter
In Memory

Kol Miron (Meir) Schechter

Kol means "voice" in Hebrew. We named this in memory of our founder's grandfather, Miron Schechter — a professional singer and soloist who sang in Yiddish, and whose life carried Jewish heritage across decades and continents.

Miron was born in 1910 in Satanov, a Jewish shtetl in Ukraine near the Polish border. He served at the frontline through nearly all of World War II, from the summer of 1941 to its final days. After the war, he became a professional singer and soloist in Gorky, with a repertoire that included Yiddish songs. At 80 years old, he returned home — repatriating to Israel, where he lived until his passing in 2002.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your caregivers Jewish?

No. Our caregivers come from diverse backgrounds and are trained to honor and respect Jewish home practices. Ezra's leadership is Jewish and personally oversees that training.

What does "Kol Miron Schechter" mean?

Kol means "voice" in Hebrew. The program honors our founder's grandfather — a Jewish shtetl-born WWII veteran who became a professional singer, carrying Yiddish song and Jewish tradition from Ukraine through Soviet Russia to Israel.

How do you match caregivers to families?

As a private-pay company, we hand-pick and train a caregiver for each client's specific situation — beyond standard HHA/CNA certification, with attention to the traditions and routines that matter to your family.
