When we asked her clients about their caretaker, Lissa, this is what they had to say:

"Lissa is incredibly warm and caring"

"I can't say enough about Lissa, she takes care of everything I need. She really cares"

Lissa Dessir seems to have been born to be a caregiver.  She has been a Personal Care Assistant since 1994, and working with Ezra Home Care for over 4 years.

Originally from Haiti, Lissa met her husband there before he came to the United States. When Lissa was 27 years old, she came to the United States to get married.  Lissa and her husband have one daughter who was adopted and is now a teenager.

Lissa loves to go out shopping, going to the movies once in a while and spending time with her family and a pet rabbit.

She likes to watch romantic movies.

Besides being a PCA, she also received training and certificatication on foster parenting.

Lissa said "I have been a caregiver for a long time and I just love what I do, I love to help people." She started her career as a caregiver in Brooklyn, NY before moving to MA.

She enjoys working at Ezra Home Care because "everyone is very friendly."

Executive Director, Alexander Schechter, had this to say about Lissa: "I know Lisa very well. She is the one of the most reliable, experienced and professional caregivers I’ve seen. Very warm, professional and kind. A true gem!"
