Services

Who we serve best

Ezra is built for families who need regular, substantial support: several shifts a week, overnight care, 24-hour care or live-in care, often for a parent living with dementia, Parkinson’s or frailty, or coming home from the hospital.

How payment works

  • Ezra is private pay. We accept payment from any source the client chooses.
  • We do not bill insurance and do not provide services through insurance carriers.
  • We cannot accept Medicare or Medicaid (MassHealth).
  • Long-term care insurance: clients pay Ezra directly and file for reimbursement themselves. We send invoices and care notes to the insurer and can help review a policy, but we cannot guarantee a claim will be approved.
  • Rates: one hourly rate for all hourly care, day or night, seven days a week, with no weekend surcharge. Live-in care has its own daily rate. See how home care costs work in Massachusetts.

Our caregivers

  • Every caregiver passes CORI, SORI, OIG and NARC background checks; we verify certifications and check references.
  • Most of our caregivers are state-certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • We match caregivers to each client’s needs, routine and schedule.

How to start

Call 617-527-9000 or contact us online. We begin with a free consultation by phone. Once you decide to start care, we complete an in-home assessment, write a care plan and match caregivers. How quickly care starts depends on the level of care needed and finding the right caregiver match.

What Ezra is not

  • Not a medical or home health agency. We provide non-medical care; we do not provide skilled nursing or therapy.
  • Not a Medicare or Medicaid (MassHealth) provider.
  • Not a franchise, a placement service or a caregiver registry.
  • Our caregivers do not pay bills or manage a client’s finances.
